Okay, so I have to come clean. I’m a word guy. I’m not a picture guy.
By that, I mean I’ve always had somewhat of a gift for the written word, hence the reason I was an English teacher for over three decades (which, if you read my About Me, you already knew).
Artistic talent was never my forte; in fact, I think when art acumen was bestowed on humanity, I either overslept or totally missed that day. Let’s suffice to say, I can’t even draw stick figures well.
Where am I going with this? Well, when I first started this blog and a couple others in the past, I thought it would be a sound fiscal decision to do my own graphics. It wasn’t — not even with a Canva account.
Now don’t get me wrong, Canva is a great platform for people like me who are artistically challenged. The templates are easy to use and customize. Simple jobs I can do.
But to do stuff such as logos, banners, and favicons, for example — you know, more technical stuff — it still requires somewhat of a stylistic gift.
Thanks to John Thornhill, I came across Steve B. of GFX-1. He has been doing John’s graphics for years and promotes his work to all his Partnership to Success students. The man is the maestro of graphics. He really is. (This is not Steve, by the way. It’s just a graphic designer hard at work. Steve’s way too busy to have his picture taken for my blog ;-)).
Just check out the images on this blog, for example. The site logo, the retina logo, the favicon, and others are Steve’s work. Genius.

Not only is Steve good, but also, he’s fast. I get all my images back in about 24 hours. No joke. Believe me, it’s worth the pittance he charges for the results you get.

I just believe in giving a shout-out to people who do amazing work, and Steve does amazing work.
